Bruce Douglas Price

Bruce Douglas Price, 84 passed away October 18th, 2021; at Chatuga Nursing Home, Hiawassee, Ga following an extended illness.  He was the son and step son of the late Viola Ellis Price and Ed Price.

Visitation will be Sunday October 24, 2021 from 1-3 pm with the Memorial Service to follow at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Memorial Park Road Gainesville, Ga. Pastors Clyde Self and Scott Strickland will be officiating.

Bruce served in the United States Navy as AE2-E5 Fighter Squadron 102.  After completion of ANP NA tech training and AE “A” school he did 2 6months Mediterranean cruises on the USS Forrestal (CV-59) super carrier.

Bruce owned Vista Carpets for 34 years. He was a long time member of North Ga. Bass Club and at one time held the record on Lake Lanier for the largest striper. Bruce was a member of Chicopee Baptist Church.

Bruce leaves behind his loving wife, Judy Martin Price, son and daughter-in-law Jason (Nicole) Bailes, his grandkids Justin (Mattie) Bailes, Jaden and Kaylyn Bailes, sister in law Janet Martin, brother and sister-in-law Tim (Becky) Martin sister and brother-in-law Janna (Marty) Manculich. Special family members Beverly and Buddy Bailes and his companion Bandit his cat who was always by his side or in his lap. 

Bruce was preceded in death father and mother-in-law, Roy and Connice Martin and brother-in-law Tommy Martin.

In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Chicopee Baptist Church, 13 First Street Chicopee, Gainesville, Ga 30504
