Joyce Jennifer Kirby

Mrs. Joyce Jennifer Kirby, 80, of Gainesville, passed away Friday, October 15, 2021 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center Braselton Campus.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Monday, October 18, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Born on October 5, 1941 in Gainesville, she was the daughter of the late Hoyt E. Anderson and the late Pauline Sizemore Anderson. Mrs. Kirby was retired from Wrigley’s where she worked in housekeeping and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

She was an amazing woman, wife, mother and grandmother. She loved everyone and everyone loved her. Joyce became the mother for those who needed one. She would do anything if asked. She will be missed by everyone who has met her. We love you nanny.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Kirby is preceded in death by her sisters, Bell Chamblee and Nancy McCarey.

Mrs. Kirby is survived by her husband, Jerrall Kirby of Gainesville; son, Andrew Kirby of Gainesville; son and daughter in law, Jeff and Natalie Kirby of Flowery Branch; grandchildren, Caitlyn Kirby, Madison Kirby, Ansley Kirby; brother, Hugh Anderson and a number of other loving relatives.
