Ms. Sarah Summerour, 62, of Gainesville passed away on October 14, 2021 following a brief illness.
Sarah was a devoted mother who loved her children beyond measure and put their happiness above all. She was the Nana/Gammy that created the giggles and that let her beloved grandsons get away with everything. She was her sister’s best friend and loved lunches with her “girls.” Sarah spent the majority of her career at Crown Financial Ministries where she was mother to all and fiercely loved the coworkers that she made family. Her greatest joys in life came in the small ways that she found to bless others around her, and she was never too busy to help anyone in need. She was a listening ear, a giver of wise counsel, a prayer warrior, a secret keeper, and a friend to all.
Ms. Summerour is survived by her husband Mr. James Palmer of Jefferson, Daughter and Son-in-law Krystal and Bill Nolan of Lawrenceville, Son and Daughter-in-law Tim and Sheira Summerour of Gainesville, Stepson Judd Palmer of Jefferson, and Mother Estelle Simmons of Gainesville. She is also survived by beloved siblings Frankie and Danny Chambers of Gainesville and Sandy and Donald Bush of Chesnee, SC. Ms. Summerour also leaves behind the grandsons she adored Payton Nabors and Jaxson Summerour as well as adopted granddaughters Shania Green, Cheyenne Green, and grandson Vance Green. She was also the aunt of Jerry DeLong, Buddy Williams, and Elizabeth Carter all of whom she loved so very much.
The family will receive visitors on Sunday October 17, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m., at Little & Davenport Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Monday October 18, at 11:00 a.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Mike Taylor officiating.
