Stevie H. Harben, 70, of Dawsonville passed away Tuesday October 12, 2021 at his residence following a period of declining health.
Born April 22, 1951, he was a lifelong resident of Dawson County. For many years he owned and operated Dawsonville Service Center, working alongside his son. Later in life he worked with the Dawson County Sheriff’s Office where he helped with inmate work detail. A loving and devoted husband and father, he was a hard-working man who enjoyed his family and especially his grandchildren. A member of Juno Baptist Church where he served as a deacon, Stevie was preceded in death by his father, Havard Harben.
Surviving are his wife of 49 years, Linda S. Harben, Dawsonville; son and daughter in law, Shannon and Angela Harben, Dawsonville; grandchildren, Olivia and Ember Harben; mother, Irene harben, Dawsonville; sister and brother in law, Vickie and W. C. Quarles, Dawsonville; brother in law and sister in law, Gary and Teresa Beck, Dawsonville; and a number of other relatives.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, October 17, 2021 at 2 o’clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Brody Hughes, Rev. Dennis Bottoms, and Rev. Andy Wallace will officiate. Interment will follow in the Juno Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 5 until 8 at the funeral home.
