Danny Wayne Kimsey

Rev. Danny Wayne Kimsey, age 65 of Hubbard Road, Carnesville passed away Friday, October 8, 2021 at the Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital.

A son of the late John Terrell Kimsey and Clifford Shirley Kimsey, he was born October 11, 1955 in Stephens County, Georgia where he lived most all his life.  He was self-employed in construction and also served as Pastor for Gordon Non-Denominational Church in Royston.  He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Richie Eley, brothers and sister-in-law, Ronnie Kimsey and Johnny and Judy Kimsey and by a sister and brother-in-aw, Patricia and Gary Dover.

Survivors include his wife of the home, Kathy Shirley Kimsey; three daughters and sons-in-law, Danyel Pritchard of Williamston, South Carolina, Brandi and Dwayne Drake of Madison County, Georgia and Michelle and Brock Kellar of Toccoa; sons and daughters-in-law, Daniel and Courtney Kimsey of Toccoa and Mitchell and Misty Winne of Lexington, South Carolina; brother and sister-in-law, Clifton and Debbie Kimsey of Toccoa.

Memorial service to be held at Gordon Non-Denominational Church, 1171 Athens Highway, Royston, Georgia, time and date will be announced later.
