Avon McClain Connelly

Avon McClain Connelly of Cumming, GA. passed away September 30th at Cumming Health & Rehab Nursing Home, one month short of her 85th birthday, from prolonged effects of a stroke suffered 11 months prior.

She is survived by her husband, Mead (Bud) Connelly of Cumming and two daughters, Cynthia (Cindy) Whitaker of Dripping Springs, TX and her husband Steve Whitaker as well as Pamela (Pam) Hall of Greer, SC, and her husband David Hall. She is also survived by her brother, Ninnian McClain of Bessemer, AL and two brothers-in-law, James Connelly of Collinsville, VA and his wife, Katie Connelly as well as Michael Connelly of Cobbs Creek, VA, and his wife Lydia Connelly. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, five great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. 

A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 23, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home in Cumming, GA. The family will be present from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. to receive those who wish to pay their respects prior to the service itself.
