Denise Scarborough

Denise Scarborough, 52, of Dawsonville passed away Tuesday, October 5, 2021.

Born March 26, 1969 in Dayton, Ohio, she had lived in Dawson County since 2018 having moved from Beaufort, SC.  Denise was formerly employed by the Dawson County School System and the Beaufort, SC School System.  She loved children and was very dedicated to her family.  Preceding her in death was her father, Dennis Jenkins.

Surviving are her husband, Don Scarborough, Dawsonville; children, Dakota Arquette, Ohio, Charlie Latham, Dawsonville, Dulton Latham, Beaufort, SC, Jay Latham, Beaufort, SC, Jamie Krick, Florida, Ashley and Tim Dolbin, Sisie Latham, California; grandchildren, Roslin Arquette, Beckley Corne, Jerica Corne; 6 step grandchildren; mother, Ruth Sprouse, Riddleville, GA; stepmother, Laurel Jinkins, Dawsonville; sisters, Nancy Jenkins, South Carolina, Rhonda Lemons, Sandersville, GA; brothers, Ray Jenkins, South Carolina, Cody Atnip, Dawsonville; special friends, Kevin and Brittany Bearden; and a number of other relatives.

Funeral services will be held Monday, October 11, 2021 at 4 o’clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel.  Rev. Ray Jenkins will officiate.  Interment will follow in Dawsonville Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends Monday, October 11, 2021 from 2 until 4 at the funeral home.
