Elizabeth Dorsey

Mrs. Elizabeth Dorsey, age 83, of Commerce, GA died Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at her residence.  Mrs. Dorsey was born in Hiawassee to the late Fred and Clara Pruitt Beck.  She was a member of Baptist Tabernacle and retired from Baker and Taylor.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Dorsey was preceded in death by her first husband, Lynwood Allen Waldrop and second husband, Samuel Dorsey.

Mrs. Dorsey is survived by her sons, Ricky Waldrop of Jefferson, Greg Waldrop of Toccoa, John Waldrop and Jeff Waldrop both of Commerce; daughter, Sherry Crane of Lavonia; brothers, Donald Beck of Nicholson and Billy Beck of Commerce; sister, Jeanette Dorsey of Commerce; six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be at 2 PM, Friday, October 8 graveside at Grey Hill Cemetery with Rev. Milford Daniels and Rev. David Presley officiating.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday night from 6 to 8 PM.
