Billy Franklin Peeples,Sr.

Mr. Billy Franklin Peeples, Sr., age 70 of Yearwood Street, Toccoa passed away Monday, October 4, 2021 at the Habersham Medical Center. 

A son of the late Carl F. Peeples and Evelyn Crowe Peeples, he was born February 26, 1951 in Franklin County, Georgia having lived most of his life in Stephens County.  He was retired from the roofing business and was of the Holiness faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Cindy Dove, a brother, Roy Royston and by the mother of his children, Judy Willis Peeples.

Survivors include four daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Gary Moore and Marie Peeples both of Toccoa, Kathy and Taronna Bohannon and Tanya and Travis Pitts both of Martin; son, Billy F. Peeples, Jr. of Toccoa; grandchildren, Steven Moore, Gary Moore, Jr., Brandon Moore, Christen Moore, Kayla Peeples, Candace Peeples, Devin Barrett, Michael Moore, Justin Simmons, Billy Peeples, III, Matthew Simmons, Leann Jenkins, Tabitha Peeples, Brittany Dickerson, Tiffany Fowler, Megan Bohannon, Jonathan Pitts and Jordan Moore; thirty-five great-grandchildren; sisters, Jackie Galliher of Hartwell and Martha Peeples of Tennessee; brother, William Royston of Toccoa.

Funeral services will be Thursday, October 7, 2021, 2 O’clock p.m. in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend Dorsey Holmes and The Reverend Travis Pitts officiating.  The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Justin Simmons, Billy Peeples, III, Jonathan Pitts, Devin Barrett, William Galliher and Geraldo Acosta.  The family will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Thursday from noon until the service time.  Online condolences may be left for the family at www.acree-davisfh.com.

Due to the health and well-being of the community, masks are encouraged during the visitation and service. 

Interment will follow in the Roselane Cemetery with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory in charge of the arrangements for Mr. Billy Franklin Peeples, Sr.
