Claudia Pickle Clark, 95 of Gillsville, GA., passed away peacefully on Saturday October 2, 2021 surrounded by her loving children.
Claudia was born on July 23, 1926 in Kosciuscko, MS., to the late Claud and Mary Oliver Pickle. She was preceded in death by Gene Clark, her loving husband of 74 years and her two brothers, Wendall (Alice) and Dalton Pickle.
She is survived by her children Paula Clark, Stan (Kaye) Clark and Bradley (Denise) Clark. Five grandsons, Glenn (Teresa) House, Blake (Betsy) House, Andy (Carrie) Clark, Adam (Jessica) Clark and Jess (Julie) Clark. She had sixteen great-grandchildren and two great-great- grandchildren, all of which she loved and adored.
Memaw, as she was known by all, was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ and was a faithful servant of the Lord. She was a great example to her family and others of how to live for God, worship Him at every occasion, and love others. She retired in 1985 after a long career at Sears and Roebuck, and enjoyed her retirement cooking huge wonderful meals and watching her beloved Atlanta Braves.
She and Papa Gene raised a large family on their farm and took care of them all in many different ways until the very end. There is no doubt that God greeted her and said “well done, my good and faithful servant”
A graveside funeral service will be held on Monday October 4, 2021 at 4 p.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery, Gainesville.
