Bobbie Jean Holman Pethel

Bobbie Jean Holman Pethel of Gainesville, GA passed away peacefully  on 09/30/21 at her residence following an extended illness.

Born on August 12, 1938.  She was the daughter of the late William Holman, Ruby Lois Schilz and Cyril Schilz.

Bobbie was a 1956 graduate of Gainesville High School and loved being on the committee for all their reunions through the years.  She worked as an Office Administrator for most of her life.  She was of the Baptist Faith and attended Northlake Baptist Church in Murrayville, Ga.  One of her favorite Bible verses was Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

Bobbie is survived by her children, daughter Sharon Webb of Gainesville, Ga.,  son and daughter in law Michael and Wanda Pethel of Flowery Branch, grandchildren April Standridge, Logan Pethel, and Lyndsey (Taylor) Lynn,  great- grandchildren Caleb and Jeremiah.  She is also survived by two half-brothers Rodney and Jimmy Holman, nieces, nephews, cousins and lots of other friends and family that loved and cared for her deeply.

At her request, a private memorial service will be held at her church.

The family wishes to extend special thanks to the staff of Hospice of Northeast Georgia and a few very special caregivers who lovingly cared for her in her last days.

In memory of Bobbie, donations may be made to a cancer research organization of your choice or your favorite charity.
