Betty S. Holman

Obituary Date: Wednesday, September 29, 2021

Mrs. Betty S. Holman, age 87 of Braselton, passed away on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at her home in Braselton following a sudden illness. 

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, October 2, 2021, at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.  Reverend Danny Jones will officiate.  The family will receive friends on Friday, October 1, 2021, from 6-8 pm at the funeral home.

Mrs. Holman was born on October 8, 1933, in Gainesville, Georgia to the late Hershel George Smith and the late Lila Mae Culpepper Smith.  She was retired from Calmaine Farms as an office/clerical assistant.  She graduated from Oakwood High School. Mrs. Holman was a member of Northlake Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Herbert Doyal “Herb” Holman, her sisters, Marie Ann Smith, and Bobbie Jean Smith Hill, her sisters-in-law, Dorothy “Dot” Shaw, and Sharon Bolin Holman, her brothers-in-law, James H. Holman, George C. Holman, and Charles Holman.

Mrs. Holman is survived by her son & daughter-in-love, Michael “Mike” & Judy Holman of Knoxville, TN, her daughter & son-in-love, Judy & Walter “Buddy” Standridge of Braselton, grandchildren, Brandon Wes (Regula) Standridge of Cleveland, GA, and Courtney Standridge of Oakwood, great-grandchildren, Paris Standridge of Monroe, GA and Zayne Rentz of Oakwood, brother-in-law, Joe Shaw of Fayetteville, GA, sister-in-law, Janette Holman of Laurens, SC and a number of nieces and nephews.
