William "Bill" Gibson

William “Bill” Gibson, age 88, of Auburn, GA passed away, Friday, September 24, 2021. He is survived by his wife, JoAnn Posey Gibson of Auburn; sons, Kenneth (Bonnie) Gibson of Colgate, WI, Dwayne Gibson of Denver, CO, Sonsiere Sough of Frederick, MD, Sherie Cobb of Auburn, GA, Shera Cobb of Arcade, GA, Sheldon (Tabaitha) Cobb of Sandy Springs, GA; eight grandchildren; and sister, Rose Collins of Milwaukee, WI. Mr. Gibson was born December 4, 1932 in Milwaukee, WI. He was a 1950 graduate of Lincoln High School in Milwaukee, WI. He was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force and a retired police officer of the Milwaukee City Police Department. He was a member of the St. James United Methodist Church and the Men’s Choir at St. James UMC. A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 1, 2021, 11:00 a.m,, at St. James United Methodist Church, 3000 Webb Bridge Road, Alpharetta, GA.  The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., prior to the service.
