Lorene Rosie Lee

Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mrs. Lorene Rosie Lee, age 91, of Jefferson, Georgia, went to be with Jesus on Saturday, September 25, 2021. Mrs. Lee was born in Union County, Georgia, a daughter to the late Edmund and Victoria Seabolt Thomason. Mrs. Lee was a very sweet woman who cared for and mothered all whom she came in contact with. She had worked in maintenance at the Gainesville Cotton Mill. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Lee was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie Alonzo Lee, children, Martha Ann Crane, Wesley Alonzo Lee and her five brothers.

Survivors include her children, Kenneth Wayne Lee of Jefferson, Brenda Joyce Pass of Jefferson, Bertie Louise Hightower of Cleveland, Norma Jean Pugh of Jefferson, Merreline Mote of Cleveland, Bonnie Yvonne Roberts of Jefferson and Eddie Lamar Lee of Savannah; sister, Connie Ruth Jackson of Cleveland; brother, J.T. Thomason of Maysville; eighteen grandchildren, twenty-three great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren also survive.

The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home. The Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Gainesville, Georgia. Gentlemen honored as pallbearers will be Randall Wetherford, Tim Davis, Cody Hawkins, Jacky Hawkins, Adam Lee, Gage Davis and Trace Wetherford.

The visitation will be held on Wednesday from 12:00PM until 1:00 PM at Evans Funeral Home, prior to the service.
