Jervis Williams, age 70, of Cornelia, passed away on Saturday, September 25, 2021.
Born on August 28, 1951, in Cornelia, Georgia. He was a son of the late Ernest Williams and Addie Lee Cherry Williams, of Cornelia. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his life partner, Patricia Faulkner. He was retired from the City of Cornelia, a native and a lifelong resident of this area. Mr. Jervis loved his family and enjoyed fishing and playing a good game of Bid Whist. Mr. Williams was of the Methodist faith and a member of the Israel CME Church.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his daughters and son-in-law, Renetha (Keisha) Gipson of Cornelia, Shara Gipson of Alto, Monica Williams of Gainesville, Kawanya Gipson of Clarkesville, Besceglia (Shelly) Faulkner of Demorest and Andrea “Puff” (Chris) Obanner of Baldwin; sisters and brother-in-law, Diane (Jimmy) Gibson of Cornelia, Gail “Road Dawg” Williams of Cornelia, Tammy E Davis of Augusta, South Carolina; special nephews, James K Gibson of Suwanee, Cedric D Holden of Cornelia; special niece, Tiffany Davis of Augusta, South Carolina; special cousins, Sharon “Kinfolk” Berry (Nathan), of Cornelia, L J Cherry, Johnny Broner (Bonnie), King, Gipson, Scott & Mayfield families; ten grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren also survive; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, September 29, 2021, at the Level Grove Cemetery with Rev. Tracy Curry officiating.
The family will receive friends from 11 am until 12:30 pm on Wednesday, September 29, 2021, at the funeral home.
