James Raymond Mooney

James Raymond Mooney age 70 of Toccoa passed away Thursday September 23, 2021 at Stephens County Hospital.

A son of the late Jonathan and Eula Mae Bruce, he was born January 20, 1951 in Gilmer County, Georgia having lived most of his life in Toccoa. He was employed with Adams Motor Express and a member of Rock Quarry Congregational Holiness Church. He was preceded in death by a daughter Connie Lee Wright.

Survivors include his wife Linda Savage Mooney of the home, two daughters Brenda Lee Griffin of Martin and Cynthia Bohannon of Toccoa, one son Raymond Mooney of Toccoa, a grandson Shawn Mooney of the home, six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren., two brothers Kenneth Mooney of Calhoun, Georgia and David Mooney of Clayton and one sister Carol Mooney of Chatsworth, Georgia.

Graveside services will be held Saturday September 25, 2021 at 2 P.M. at Stephens Memorial Gardens with the Reverend Jeremy Garmon officiating. The family will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Saturday from noon til service time.

The following will serve as pallbearers Brenda Griffin, Cynthia Bohannon, Raymond Mooney, James Bohannon, Tony Mooney and Moe Asheranner.

Interment will follow in Stephens Memorial Gardens.
