David Barney Harper

David Barney Harper, age 66, of Oakwood, Georgia passed away on Friday, September 17, 2021 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a courageous battle against Covid-19.

Memorial service will be held at 3:00 P.M. Monday, September 27, 2021 at Memorial Park South Chapel. Rev. Rod Bell will officiate. The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 3:00 P.M. Monday, September 27, 2021 at Memorial Park South Funeral Home. The family requests that those in attendance please wear a mask. 

David was born December 20, 1954 in Hall County to the late Barney and Cora (Bhon) Harper. David remained living in Hall County his whole life. David worked at Covenant Woodworks, where he took pride in his job. He loved to build wooden toy trucks, cars, and a variety of other things.

David is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Josh Dotson of Flowery Branch; Son, Kevin Harper of Oakwood; daughter and fiancé, Emily Harper and Michael Fraser of Flowery Branch; he was a loving grandfather to Corbin and Carter Dotson; and had numerous cousins.

David is preceded in death by his parents, Barney and Cora Harper; sister, Judy Crow; and his grandparents.
