Cleveland Oneil Robinson, Sr.

Mr. Cleveland Oneil Robinson, Sr. was born June 17, 1937, in New Orleans, Louisiana to Murphy Carl Robinson and Thelma Jefferson Robinson Pruier of Plaquemine parish. Both later migrated to New Orleans. Cleveland aka Robie was loved by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.  He was formally educated in New Orleans, LA, and a Retired Chef.

Mr. Cleveland Oneil Robinson, Sr. passed away on September 17, 2021, at the age of 84. He was preceded in death by his parents Murphy Carl Robinson and Thelma Jefferson Robinson Pruier.

He leaves behind to cherish his memories, and celebrate his life, his Wife of 55 years, Charlene Cecil DuVernay Robinson, and one Sister Iola Robinson Seals and Mr. Robinson Sr., children Chandra Robinson Tate (husband David Tate), Crystal Robinson Duncan, Charles DuVernay Sr., (fiancée Jennie), Sabrina DuVernay Wright (husband Preston Wright), Nicola Maria DuVernay, Mildred Robinson Freemon (Husband Ardell J. Freemon, Sr.) and Cleveland Oneil Robinson, Jr., and Mr. Robinson Sr., Grandchildren Sean Tate, Timothy Tate, Matthew Tate, and Maiya Tate (Chandra); Dominique DuVernay, Gabriella DuVernay, Charles DuVernay Jr., Sadie DuVernay, Madison DuVernay, and Julianne DuVernay (Charles Sr.); Krystilia Williams (Husband Jean Fritz Cadet) and Jeremey Williams (Sabrina); Wesley DuVernay Powell and Shanae’ DuVernay Powell (Nicola); Ardell Freemon Jr., Charlene Freemon, and Zaire Freemon (Mildred) Lily Ryersbach (Cleveland Jr.); and Four Great Grandchildren Kendall Blakely Jr., and Alessandria Cadet, (Krystilia), Madison Jenkins and Marleigh Jenkins (Dominique) and a host of other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister.
