Robert Lee Anderson, Jr.

Mr. Robert Lee Anderson, Jr. age 82 of Commerce died peacefully at his home with his family by his side on Sunday, September 19, 2021.  Mr. Anderson was born in Atlanta to the late, Robert Lee and Frances Evelyn Abernathy Anderson, Sr.  Mr. Anderson was a retired grading contractor and was a US Air Force veteran.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Anderson was also preceded in death by his brothers, Jimmy and Rusty Anderson; and brother-in-law, Morris Cox.

Mr. Anderson is survived by his wife, Nelle Marie Pope Anderson of Commerce; son, Bo Wayne Anderson (Doris) of Colbert; daughters, Michelle Ellington and Sandra Lee Anderson both of Commerce; sisters, Margaret Cox of Hoschton and Alice Faye Flippen of TN; grandchildren, Amber Wangler (Shannon), Robert Maloch (Missy), Wesley Daniel, and Courtney Daniel; great grandchildren, Bentley Maloch, Miranda Maloch, Josh Wangler (Sydney), and Ashton Wangler; nephews, James Pope and Rob Anderson (Dawn).

Graveside service will be held Thursday, Sept. 23^rd at 2:00 PM from Evergreen Memorial Park with Rev. Tracey Deavers officiating.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday night from 5-8 PM.
