Rickey Lanier Payne

Rickey Lanier Payne l, 77 of Flowery Branch passed away Saturday, September 18, 2021.  Rickey was born on February 10, 1944 in Gainesville, Ga. to the late Harold and Francis Payne.

Rickey worked in the paint and body industry for over 40 years. He served in the United States Army as a Combat Engineer and was an avid Hunter. He was known as "Santa" to many for his years of giving back to his community by playing Santa at the American Legion and a variety of other venues.  

In addition to his parents Rickey is preceded in death by his brothers Maurice Payne and Joe Payne  

He is survived by his sons and daughter-in-laws, Rickey(Kim)Payne, Brian (Christy)Payne, and Mark (Mandy)Payne, grandchildren; Caleb Payne, Casen Payne, Whitney (Mason) Lane Lindsey (Dylan) Self, Hailey Payne, Kassidy Payne, Skyler Gresham, Tayler Gresham, and a host of family and friends.  

The family will have a celebration of life on Monday, September 20th at 6 p.m. at Celebration Church 5934 Cleveland Hwy, Clermont, Ga. 30527
