Donnis McDaniel Maddox

Donnis McDaniel Maddox, age 76, of Kennesaw, GA and formerly of Buford, GA passed away on Friday, September 17, 2021. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mark and Lucille Burnette McDaniel and sister and brother-in-law, Elizabeth and Howard Samuel Forrester. Mrs. Maddox is survived by her husband of fifty-eight years, Wendell Maddox, Kennesaw, GA; daughters and son-in-law, Tammy Maddox Gaddis, Dallas, GA and Tanya and Daniel Kuster, Wilmington, NC; grandchildren, Daniel and Mary Hannah Gaddis, Marietta, GA and Kelley and Brett Barger, Dahlonega, GA; great grandchildren, Jonah David Gaddis, Marietta, GA, Abel McDaniel Gaddis, Marietta, GA and Ariel Fiona Barger, Dahlonega, GA; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Arlon and Linda Maddox, Helen, GA and Gary and Donna Maddox, Knoxville, TN; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Allene and Frank Ruffner, Elberton, GA; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mrs. Maddox was born July 3, 1945 in Buford, GA. She was a 1963 graduate of Buford High School in Buford, GA. Mrs. Maddox was a retired payroll specialist from McCleskey Mausoleum in Norcross, GA. She was a member of Shadowbrook Baptist Church in Suwanee, GA. She and her husband, Wendell, did a lot of traveling with Foothills Camping and the Dixie Travelers. Mrs. Maddox enjoyed working seasonal part-time jobs at Hollywood Studios in Orlando, FL. Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 20, 2021 at 3:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Linkous officiating. Interment will follow at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens in Buford, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, September 19^th from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and on Monday, September 20^th from 1:30 p.m. until time of service at 3:30 p.m.
