Myrtle Gooch Russell age 95 of Gainesville Georgia passed away on September 10, 2021. Mrs. Russell spent 20 years working in a silk mill. She was a wonderful and devoted mother who loved to cook, clean, and bake cakes; so it was natural that she soon embraced her life as a fulltime Homemaker.
Mrs. Gooch is preceded in death by her parents Joe and Cora Ward Gooch; spouse Leaman Russell; brothers, Homer Gooch, Doc Gooch, Clayton Gooch, Carl Gooch, and Pat Gooch; and sisters Dora Caldwell and Mattie Caldwell.
Mrs. Gooch is survived by her daughter Pamela Russell, grandson Russ Odom (Angela Corriher), great grandchildren Reece, Elijah, and Addie Odom; numerous other relatives also survive.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday September 16, 2021 at 2pm in the chapel of Dahlonega Funeral Home, visitation prior beginning at 11am. Internment will be held following the funeral at Yahoola Baptist Church in Dahlonega.
