Heather Leianne Reed

Mrs. Heather Leianne Reed age 42 of Flowery Branch, Ga passed away on Tuesday September 14, 2021 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a courageous battle against Covid- 19.        

Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.     

Heather was born on April 22, 1979 in Dekalb County, Ga to William Andrew Elrod and Sandra Elrod Waggoner. She was a wife, fantastic mother daughter, sister, and friend to anyone she met and was of the Baptist Faith.

Heather is survived by her husband, Greg Reed of Flowery Branch, two children, Garrett and Gentry Reed of Flowery Branch, father and step-mother, William “Shot” Elrod and Penny Walker Elrod of Gainesville, mother, Sandra Elrod Waggoner of Oskaloosa, Iowa, mother and father-in-law, Chuck C. Reed and Patricia Dianne Reed of Gainesville, sister and brother-in-law, Hilary Elrod Hamilton and Jonathan Green of Clermont, brother and sister-in-law, Heath and Abby Elrod of Lula, Ga, step-brother and sister-in-law, Derrick and Kelly Prater of Gainesville, step-brother, Kyle Prater of Gainesville, sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Christy Reed Hayes and Brian of Jefferson, brother-in-law, Eric Reed of Gainesville, 9 nephews and 6 nieces, and a host of other family members and friends.         

In lieu of flowers please make donations to a Disabled Veterans Fund in Honor of Heather’s father who served in the Vietnam War.
