John Lanier Erwin

Mr. John Lanier Erwin, 67, of Gainesville passed away Saturday, September 11, 2021.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at the Pavilion of Gainesville American Legion.

Born on March 5, 1954 in Murphy, NC, he was the son of the late John and Bernice Robinson Erwin. He was retired from Holiday Marina where he was an electrician. Mr. Erwin proudly served his country in the 82nd Airborne. He was of the Methodist faith.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Erwin is preceded in death by his sister, Beverly Ann Erwin.

Mr. Erwin is survived by his sister, Jenny Holland (Wayne) of Gainesville.
