Paula Jordan, 84, passed away Saturday, September 11, 2021, at her home in Cumming, GA. She was also known as Hunkie of Pap’s Little Bohunkus.
A pastor’s wife for over 50 years, Paula was a faithful Church Pianist for over 50 years; learning to play the piano at around 12 years old. One of her true loves was baking cakes for people. She had an entrepreneur spirit about her as she had a daycare business and her cleaning service in past years.
Paula is survived by her son, Tony Jordan (Kim) of Elijah, GA; daughters, Vickie Rey (Hal), Kathy Samples (Daniel) of Cumming; 2 grandchildren, Christi Mobley (Brian), Caleb Samples; 1 great grandson, Jordan Mobley; sister, Betty Sanders (Harold) and brother, Sion Eugene New.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J.B. Jordan of 54 years of marriage; parents, Paul and Lucille New; brothers, Harry New and John New; great granddaughters, Brandlyn and Savanna Mobley.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 14, at 2:00 p.m. at the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Daniel Samples, Rev. Brian Mobley officiating. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Gardens with her grandson, Caleb, offering the graveside prayer.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
