Nancy Jean Martin

Mrs. Nancy Jean (Wade) Martin, 85, of Gainesville, passed away Saturday, September 11, 2021 at Habersham County Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, September 13, 2021 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Rev. Dayton Sosebee and Rev. John Henry Anderson will officiate. Interment will follow in Alta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Monday from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm.

Born on September 2, 1936 in Gainesville, she was the daughter of the late L. C. Wade and the late Mary Irene Gillespie Wade. She was retired from Anesthesia Associates of Gainesville where she was the office manager. Mrs. Martin was a member of East View Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Martin is preceded in death by her husband, G.L. “Doc” Martin and sister, Vivian Irene Clark.

Mrs. Martin is survived by her son and daughter in law, Ricky and Lavern Martin and their sons, Tyson and Easton of Lula; son, Reggie Martin and his sons, Braxton and Brandon of Lula and a number of other grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
