Beverly Joan Hemphill Nesbit

Mrs. Beverly Joan Hemphill Nesbit, age 86, of Commerce, GA died Sunday, September 5, 2021 at her residence.  Mrs. Nesbit was born in Greensboro, NC to the late Burley M. and Myrtle Virginia Bennett Hemphill, Sr.  She was a member of Commerce First United Methodist Church and was retired from the University of Georgia.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Nesbit was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Samuel Hemphill.

Mrs. Nesbit is survived her daughter, Lisa Nesbit of Commerce; sister, Betty Kellum of Greensboro, NC; brother, Burley Hemphill, Jr. (Clara) of Jefferson; and sister-in-law, Connie Hemphill of Athens.

Funeral services will be at 2 PM, Tuesday, September 7 at Commerce First United Methodist Church with Rev. Joshua Carr officiating.  Interment will follow at Grey Hill Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the church from 1 to 2 PM on Tuesday.
