Debbie Rowell, 65, of Dawsonville passed away Friday September 3, 2021.
Debbie was born December 20, 1955 and was a lifelong resident of Dawson County. She was formerly employed for many years at Coal Mountain Building Supply. Thanks to the generosity of another family, Debbie received a kidney transplant in 2000. Although she experienced many medical difficulties, she loved life every day and was very devoted to her family, her friends and her church. A member of Amicalola Baptist Church, she was preceded in death by her mother and stepfather, Aline and Johnny Stephens; father, Buddy Rowell; stepmother, Katherine Kent; sisters, Gayle Rowell Beebe, Janice Harben; and a nephew, Jason Harben.
Surviving are her sisters and brothers in law, Sherri and Bob Kelly, Dacula, Valerie and Todd Binning, Chireno, Texas, Vanessa and Jim Williams, Lebonon, Tennessee; stepson and daughter in law, Chris and Teresa Gunn, Columbus, GA, brother in law, Danny Harben, Dawsonville; step grandchildren, Shelby Gunn, Jarrett Gunn; nieces, Erin Kelly, Avery Binning, McKenzie Williams, Jenaline Rugay; nephew, Elijah Williams; special friend and caregiver, Weba Loggins; and a number of other relatives.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at 1 o’clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Joey Stewart, Rev. Tom Stradley, and Mr. Wendell Hester will officiate. Interment will follow in the Amicalola Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 4 until 8 at the funeral home.
