Mr. James Alton Mauldin age 76 of Gainesville, Ga passed away on Saturday September 04, 2021 at his residence following an extended illness.
Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday September 08, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Hone with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Ken Pethel and Son, Jerry Hill will officiate. The family will receive friends on Tuesday September 07, 2021 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
James was born on September 16, 1944 in Anderson City, Ga to the late Amos Alton Mauldin and Bennie Mae Kilgore Maudlin. He was a retired Master Carpenter with Charles Black Construction Company and was a member of Kimbell U.M.C. in Anderson City, Ga. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Mr. Mauldin is survived by his wife of 50 years, Ethel Mauldin of Gainesville, sons and daughter-in-law’s, Butch Hill (Jackie) of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Jimmy Hill (Terri) of Savannah, Ga, Jerry Hill (Sherry) of Murrayville, Ga. Grandchildren, Amanda Hill, Jessica Hill, Matthew Hill. Drew Hill, Robby (Mega) Hill, Clark Hill, great- grandchildren, John Hill and Avery Hill, sister, Mittie Freeman of Ellijay, Ga, brother and sister-in-law, Gene Mauldin( Wanda) of Anderson City, Ga and a host of nieces and nephews and other close family members and friend also survive.
