David E. Burnett

David E. Burnett, age 66, of Cleveland, GA passed away on Wednesday, September 1, 2021. He was preceded in death by parents, E. J. and Lenna Maynard Burnett. Mr. Burnett is survived by his wife of forty-six years, Delphia Sutton Burnett of Cleveland; children, Melissa Mulkey of Dacula, GA and April (Nathan) Lefebvrer of Bethlehem, GA; grandchildren, Jackson Mulkey, Madison Mulkey, Brady Lefebvrer; sisters, Marie Ramey of Gainesville, GA, Patricia (Ernesto) Alvarez of Spartanburg, SC, Cindy (Randy) Richards of Canton, GA, Wanda (Matthew) Grissom of Braselton, GA, Callie (Kenneth) Roberts of Dahlonega, GA; uncle, Billy Cain of Buford, GA; and great aunt, Ruby Parker of Buford, GA.  Mr. Burnett was born on June 3, 1955 in Conyers, GA. He received his education at North Gwinnett High School, and retired from Gwinnett County Fleet Management after eight years of service. Mr. Burnett was a member of Shoal Creek Baptist Church and he attended Center Baptist Church in Robertstown, GA. He enjoyed fishing and bowling, and spending time with his grandchildren and family, and he really enjoyed going to sporting events for his grandchildren. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 4, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. at Shoal Creek Baptist Church in Buford with Rev. Hoyt Winkler and Rev. Michael Wilks officiating. Interment will follow at Shoal Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Burnett will Lie in State at 2:00 p.m. at the church.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
