Pam Maria Elzey

Pam Maria Elzey, 60 of Dawsonville, passed away on Sunday, August 29, 2021 at her residence.  She loved writing poetry and had published many poems.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren, camping and making flower arrangements and taking special care of mentally challenged adults.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Shoemaker, stepfather, Arnold Hood, brother Rickey Elzey and nephew, Cody Redd.

She is survived by her children, Stephanie and James Sechrest of Dawsonville, GA , Kellie and Christopher Kelley of Duluth, GA, Kristie DeLong and Marlon Gillis of Gainesville, GA; stepson, Anthony and Mandie Davis of Dawsonville, GA; grandchildren, Corey, Madison, Savannah, Jacob, Alayna, Aerilyn; Parents, Amos Elzey of Cleveland, GA, Jean Hood of Dawsonville, GA; sister, Jamie Lynn Lewis of Ellijay, GA; brother, Mickey and Greta Elzey of Dawsonville, GA; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other relatives survive.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, September 3, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow the funeral at Friendship Baptist Church, Cumming, GA.

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
