Shirley Pless

Mrs. Shirley Pless, age 61, of Cleveland, Georgia passed away on August 30, 2021. She was born on September 13, 1959, in Walhalla, South Carolina to the late Ned Webb and the late Lucille Buchanan. Shirley lived for her grandchildren and her family, who knew her as "Nana" and "Gammie". They were the axis on which her world revolved around. Her home always had an open door to anyone who needed a warm meal, a place to rest, or good advice, especially her children's friends. If you have ever been to Shirley and Claud's house, you knew what a green thumb she had. Her house was surrounded by beautiful flowers and other plants that she worked tirelessly on. She was also a lover of animals, and her home was shared with many pets that she loved dearly. 

She is survived by her best friend and loving husband of 41 years, Claud Pless; children, Eric (Rebecca) Pless and Cassie Pless (Leo Musacchio), all of Cleveland; siblings, Wanda (Bill) Leadford, Brenda (Mike) Edwards, Christine Clark, Pam Webb, and Patty (Roger) Abernathy; grandchildren, Makenna, Ciara, Alaina, Brayden, Ethan, Lucie, and Knox. Numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and other relatives also survive.  

Funeral Services are scheduled for Thursday, September 2, 2021, at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Anderson-Underwood Funeral Home with Rev. Chris Anderson officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 1, 2021, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
