Wanda Sue Lovell Davis

Obituary Date: Sunday, August 29, 2021

Ms. Wanda Sue Lovell Davis, 65, of Gainesville, passed away Sunday, August 29, 2021 following a short battle with cancer.

The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 2, 2021 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Sherry Smith, Kelsey Drum and Pat Garrett will officiate. Interment will follow at Restoration Worship Center Cemetery in Murrayville.

Born on April 30, 1956 in Hiawassee, GA, to Geneva Thomas Lovell and the late Henry Lovell. She was retired from S & C Transport where she was a truck dispatcher.  Ms. Davis was a member of Restoration Worship Center.

She was selfless, feisty, and hard-headed. She put everyone else first. Her heart was bigger than she was. She always took care of everyone else and put herself last. She was an angel on earth and definitely now one in Heaven.

In addition to her father, Ms. Davis is preceded in death by her son, Brian Anthony Davis; sister, Bennie Jo Lovell and nephew, Darrin Stroud.

In addition to her mother, Geneva Thomas Lovell, Ms. Davis is survived by sister, Sherry Smith (Ronnie); great niece, Kelsey Drum (Anthony); great nephew, Dylan Stroud; nephew, Brandon Smith (Jessica) all of Gainesville; great-great nephew, Payton Drum; great-great-niece, Oakley Drum and a host of other friends and relatives also survive.
