Henry Gaston was born in Gay, Georgia of Meriwether County on October 23, 1941, to the late John Henry Gaston and Mamie Norris Gaston. After graduating from Woodbury High School, he moved a few years later to Atlanta, Georgia and pursued a career as a dutiful dedicated Service Worker for over 40 years. Henry began his career with the Davis House Cafeteria as a waiter and server for many, many years. In later years, he pursued the Hospitality Industry with the Ritz Carlton Hotel chain as a Manager/ Serviceman. He later retired from the Ritz Carlton with honors of Outstanding Service Manager Awards. Henry was dedicated and passionate about his work. He will be remembered as a loyal leader of servants. Henry gave his soul to Christ in his later years of his life, serving with his significant other, Hattie Gaston (deceased) at the Hunter Hill First Missionary Baptist Church in Atlanta, GA. He leaves to cherish his memory: younger sister, Sarah Ann Gaston Napier (David); special son, Calvin Hill (CeCe), special grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
The Celebration of Life for Mr. Henry Gaston will be Tuesday, August 24th at 12noon at Hunter Hill Baptist Church. Professional Service Entrusted to Wimberly Funeral Home.
