Virgil J. Mulkey

Virgil J. Mulkey, age 84, of Cleveland, GA passed away on Thursday, August 19, 2021. He was preceded in death by daughter, Theresa Ann Mulkey. Mr. Mulkey is survived by children, William and Vickie Mulkey of Cleveland, and Jeff Mulkey of St. Augustine, FL; four grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; sisters, Phyllis Simmons of Dublin, GA and Rudean Ward of Carrollton, GA; brother, Floyd Mulkey (Peggy) of Summerville, AL; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mr. Mulkey was born on February 5, 1937 in Woodland, AL. He attended Randolph County School System. He was a retired mill worker form Avondale Cotton Mill, and he was a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church in Loganville, GA. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with William Mulkey speaking. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, August 28 from 12:00 noon until time for the service at 1:00.
