Marylon Smith

Marylon Smith, 77, of Ballground, GA passed away peacefully on August 18, 2021 at her residence surrounded by her family and her fur babies.

Born June 4, 1944 in Morgantown, West Virginia, she lived a number of years in Dahlonega where she raised her family.  She moved to Blue Ridge and then to Ballground 23 years ago.  Mrs. Smith retired from the Georgia Board of Pardons and Parole following over 20 years of service.  She was very devoted to the grandchildren and her dogs.

Surviving are her children, Jeff and Dawn Miller, Dawsonville, Laura Dasilva, Alpharetta; stepchildren, Lt. Col. Shannon and Lisa Smith, Coosada, Alabama, Chad and Beth Smith, Dawsonville; grandchildren, Hollie Miller, Hannah Miller, Seth Dasilva, Ethan Smith, Haley Smith; sister, Noveda Scherer, Kentucky; and her best friend, Carol Warren, Canton.

At her request, Mrs. Smith was cremated and the family is planning a private celebration of her life.
