Mr. Richard Joseph Frazier, age 51 of Eastanollee passed away Friday, August 13, 2021 at the Habersham Medical Center.
A son of Nancy W. Frazier and the late Richard R. Frazier, he was born April 6, 1970 in Fulton County, Georgia having lived the greater part of his life in Stephens County. He was a graduate of Southern Tech with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He was employed with Milliken and later with Ross Controls for 20 years. Richard was an incredible story teller who had a passion for learning with a wealth of knowledge in history, politics, mechanics, gardening, cooking, building and countless other interests. He loved sharing what he had learned over his lifetime with anyone that would lend an ear. He enjoyed working around his property and in the home that he built for his family. Special memories were made watching his children perform in the marching band on Friday nights, traveling across the country with Boy Scout Troop 217, hiking the Appalachian Trail and vacationing in Dog Island.
He was preceded in death by his father, Richard R. Frazier and one of his closest buddies, Bert, “the best puppy ever”.
Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Nicole Frazier; two daughters, Emma Frazier of Highlands, North Carolina and Ally Frazier of Eastanollee; son, Tony Frazier of Eastanollee; his mother, Nancy Frazier of Demorest, sister and brother-in-law, Kim and Alex Garcia of Sugar Hill, Georgia; nephew Andrew Frazier; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Tony and Lois Barton of Jupiter, Florida.
A visitation for the family will be held Saturday, August 21, 2021, 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. The family will have a private graveside following the visitation.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials may be made to the Currahee Military Museum, 160 N. Alexander Street, Toccoa, Georgia 30577 in memory of Mr. Richard Joseph Frazier.
