Joe Arlington "Arkey" Crocker

Mr. Joe Arlington “Arkey” Crocker, age 82, of Commerce passed away on Sunday, August 15, 2021 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.  Mr. Crocker was born in Commerce to the late, J.P. and Ethel Ward Crocker.  Mr. Crocker was a retired Georgia State Trooper, a member of Commerce First United Methodist Church, and an Air Force veteran.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Crocker was also preceded in death by his wife, Elaine Slayton Crocker.

Mr. Crocker is survived by his daughter, Lori Martin of Commerce; two grandchildren, McClaine and Chandler Martin.

Funeral service will be held Thursday, August 19^th at 3:00 PM from Commerce First United Methodist Church with Rev. Russ Brown and Rev. Joshua Carr officiating with the interment following at Grey Hill Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday from 2-3 PM.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Commerce First United Methodist Church, Nicholson Baptist Church, or Hospice of Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
