Sylvia Ann Palmer Galloway

Ms. Sylvia Ann Palmer Galloway, age 68 of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Wednesday, August 11, 2021. She was born July 30, 1953 in Gastonia, North Carolina the son of the late Mr. Browdus Joseph George Palmer and the late Mrs. Unzell “Judy” Dorsey Palmer.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Sherry Oliver; brother, Billy Palmer; husband, Joe Galloway.

Mrs. Galloway is survived by brothers, Gerald Palmer, Richard Palmer, Jeff Palmer and Greg Palmer all of Douglasville, Georgia; half-sister, Joyce Abee of Gastonia, North Carolina; two grandsons, Dawson and Dillion Oliver and their father, Mark Oliver of Lula, Georgia; son, Joseph Scott Galloway of New Smyrna Beach, Florida; several uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins also survive.

The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home of Douglasville Saturday, August 14, 2021 from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM. The family will receive friends at Barrett Funeral Home of Cleveland, Georgia Sunday, August 15, 2021 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, August 15, 2021 at 3:00 PM from Barrett Funeral Home in Cleveland, Georgia with Rev. Kyle Savage officiating. Interment will follow at Mossy Creek Methodist Church Cemetery.
