Mark Jackson Dodd

Mr. Mark Jackson Dodd, age 38 of Rock Road, Mt. Airy, Georgia passed away Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at his residence.

A son of Randy M. Dodd and the late Marsha Ann Reed Dodd, he was born March 14, 1983 in Stephens County, Georgia having lived most of his life in Habersham County, Georgia.  He was an auto mechanic, was of the Baptist faith and loved his family and loved to fish.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Marsha Ann Reed Dodd.

Survivors include his father, Randy Dodd of Colquitt, Georgia; wife of the home, Kristie McAllister Dodd; daughter and son of the home, Emily and Ben Dodd; sisters and brothers-in-law, Leah and Richie Thibeault of Alto, Georgia and Lyndsey and David Robertson of Gainesville, Georgia; grandmother, Donna Dodd of Charlotte, North Carolina; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Keith and Elaine Smith of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Friday, August 13, 2021, 2 O’clock p.m. at Chopped Oak Baptist Church with The Reverend Alvin Burns officiating.  The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Dusty Craig, Joel Cash, Carlton Walters, Brian Tingle, James Prichard and Josh Bowden.

The family will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Thursday, 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.

Interment will follow in the Chopped Oak Baptist Church Cemetery with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home and Hillcrest Crematory in charge of the arrangements for Mr. Mark Jackson Dodd.
