Beulah Mae Elliott

Beulah Mae Elliott, age 91, of Cleveland, passed away on Sunday, August 8, 2021, at Gateway Nursing Home.

Beulah Mae Elliott was born on June 14, 1930, in Jacksonville, Alabama, to the late Otto and Mae Dell Ford Burrows.  She is preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Garvice Elliott; and siblings, Lou Emma Crews and Bud Burrows.  Beulah Mae was employed by and retired from the White County School System.  While employed with the school system she was an encouragement and example to both students and faculty.

Beulah Mae is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Young of Gainesville, Ga; son, Stephen Elliott and wife Marlene of San Jose, California; sister, Anita Duggar; sister-in-law, Emily Burrows; brother-in-law, Terry Crews, Jr.; brother-in-law and wife, Farrell and Geneva Elliott; grandsons, Brandon, Jason, and Chad Elliott; great-granddaughters, Amber and Kayla Mae Elliott; great-great granddaughter, Rylee Elliott; many nieces and nephews.

Beulah Mae was a member of the Cleveland Worship Center and served the church faithfully for many years in various leadership capacities.  She was the organizer and director of the Golden Herlad Choir, whose anointed music was a tremendous blessing and furthered the kingdom of God.  Beulah Mae’s godly faith and witness touched many lives as she served the Lord with excitement and determination.  In addition, Beulah Mae was heavily involved in foreign missions.  Her desire was to train young people to serve God through missions in foreign countries for many years.  Beulah Mae traveled to McAllen, TX where she was involved and taught at the Missionary Training Center.

Funeral services will be held at the Cleveland Worship Center on Saturday, August 14, 2021, at 2:00 P.M.  Interment will follow at Yonah View Memorial Gardens.  The Rev. Marc Turner and the Rev. Ronald Wilson will officiate. 

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. Friday, August 13, 2021, at the funeral home.

The family asks that flowers be omitted and that memorial donations be made to Cleveland Worship Center.
