Mrs. Sally Elizabeth Payne Sellers, age 97 of Greater Hope Road, Martin, Georgia passed away Sunday, August 8, 2021 at her residence.
A daughter of the late James Ira Payne and Mary Murray Payne, she was born January 23, 1924 in Stephens County, Georgia where she lived all her life. She was retired from Fieldale Corporation and attended Welcome Faith Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Fred Sellers, by a daughter, Gail Burch, by four sons, Richard, Gary, Stevie and Terry Sellers and by number of brothers and sisters and was the last surviving member of her family.
Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth Sellers of Toccoa, Dwayne and Virginia Sellers of Martin and Wildon and Lisa Sellers of Toccoa; twelve grandchildren, a number of great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, August 11, 2021, 11 O’clock a.m. in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend Jerrell Beatty and The Reverend Scott Collett officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Brian Sellers, Chad Sellers, Casey Sellers, Nick Sellers, Steve Sellers and Steve Hunt.
The family will be at the home on Greater Hope Road and will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Tuesday, 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.acree-davisfh.com.
Interment will follow in the Stephens Memorial Gardens with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Sally Payne Sellers.
