Mrs. Betty Smith “Ms. Betty”, daughter of the late Hubert and Ethel Beach, was born on November 21st, 1937, and passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 5th, 2021. Ms. Betty is survived by her husband Harry W. Smith; children Shelly Funk, Susan Smith, and Steven Smith; grandson Tyler Smith; great-grandson Rylan Patton; sister Peggy Campbell; brother-in law Wayne Campbell; beloved nieces, nephews, and countless other family members. She is also survived by the beloved children Ms. Betty was a caretaker for; Katherine Sartor, Lauren Sartor, and Matthew Sartor; and countless other friends and neighbors who Ms. Betty loved all dearly.
Ms. Betty was a devoted wife, mother, sister, and friend to all she came across. She never met a stranger, and her warm and caring personality was a joy to behold by all who were lucky enough to meet her. Ms. Betty was passionate about her gardening and the outdoors in general. She is deeply missed by her friends, family, and all who knew her.
Due to the current state of the Covid-19 virus and to protect the safety of all those that Ms. Betty loved, a public memorial service will not be held at this time. A memorial service and celebration for all will be held at a later time when it can be safely held without an elevated risk due to Covid-19.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that friends, loved ones, and all that cared for Ms. Betty to plant their choice of flower, tree, or foliage at their choice of location in her honor.
