Annie Roland

Annie Roland, 81, of Dawsonville passed away Wednesday August 4, 2021 at The Oaks at Limestone following a period of declining health.

Born October 7, 1939 to the late Roscoe and Minnie Evans, Annie was a lifelong resident of Dawson County.  A loving and devoted wife, she was always by her husband’s side.  She enjoyed having breakfast with her friends at Bojangles and for many years she worked cleaning houses for many families in the community.  Annie was a member of Juno Baptist Church and enjoyed cooking and spending time with her church family.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy R. Roland; sister, Shirley Patterson; brothers, James Evans, Vernie Evans.

Surviving are her sister, Tilda Eler Hopgood of Woodstock; brothers and sister in law, Cleve and Mildred Evans, Bige Evans, all of Dawsonville; Special niece and nephew, Jennifer and Eugene Burt of Dawsonville; other relatives.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday August 8, 2021 at 2 p.m. at Juno Baptist Church.  Rev. Tim Biddy and Rev. Dennis Bottoms will officiate.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday August 7 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m.
