Curtis Galloway, age 84, of Alto, Georgia went home to be with the Lord on Monday, August 2, 2021.
Mr. Galloway was born on February 24, 1937 in Whitfield County, Georgia to the late John and Letha Galloway. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Fred Galloway, Roy Galloway, JC Galloway; and sister, Adele Finley. He was lovingly known by his grandchildren as "Papa". Curtis loved to be out on his land and spend time on his tractor. He was also a "history buff", enjoying trips to family home sites and reading about the old west. Curtis was also an avid listener of Hank WIlliams, Sr.
Survivors include his loving wife of 62 years, Angie Cragg Galloway, of Alto; daughter, Becki Galloway Adams, of Anderson, SC; son and daughter-in-law, Tony and Donna Galloway, of Alto; daughter, Linda Lee, of Baldwin; grandchildren, Cannie Adams, Aaron Lee (Neahna), Dr. Hannah Galloway, Sadie Galloway McFarlin (Brandon), Lily Galloway; brother, Edgar Joe Galloway; and several neices and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, August 5, 2021 at the Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel with Pastor Lamar Kastner officiating. Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at the funeral home.
