Orien LaRue White

Orien LaRue White 91, of Cumming passed away Thursday July 29, 2021.

LaRue was born in Vienna, Georgia September 23, 1929 to the late Wonford B. White

and Leila B. White. LaRue was an only child who grew up and went to school in Georgia and Florida.

He was only nineteen when he met and married Patsy M. White. They were together 66 years. In their life together they had four children-Karen, Michael, Mark and Jeffrey.

LaRue was involved in a variety of careers retiring with Fulton County-Waste Treatment after moving to Georgia to be close to his son Michael. 

LaRue enjoyed baking. He created many a dessert and bread that family and friends enjoyed. Entertaining and cooking brought LaRue much satisfaction. 

Another passion was camping-starting out in an Army surplus tent with his family to traveling the country full-time in a large fifth wheel trailer & truck. He loved exploring and planning extensive trips that he took with longtime close friends.

Anyone who knew LaRue understood his passion for dancing-he loved it and he was very good at it. Ladies never sat waiting to dance if LaRue was in attendance.

LaRue had a happy spirit and shared it by delivering Meals On Wheels here in Cumming for many years. 

LaRue is survived by his daughter Karen White Howell and his cousins Susan White and Pat White.  LaRue experienced much loss-his parents, his wife and three sons preceded him in death.

LaRue will be laid to rest in a graveside service Monday August 2, 2021 at 4:00pm  at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens, Cumming GA.
