Kaleb "Duck" Duckworth

The streets of gold in Heaven will forever be changed, as Mr. Kaleb “Duck” Duckworth, age 19, of Dahlonega, Georgia made his grand entry on July 27, 2021, (probably doing a burnout).

He was born on July 24, 2002, in Dahlonega to Tommy and Amanda Duckworth. He was a graduate of Lumpkin County High School and was currently enrolled in Lanier Technical College, furthering his education to obtain a degree in welding. While in school, Duck worked with his grandpa painting houses.

Duck will always be remembered as an all-American country boy, someone who was spontaneous, intelligent, and downright goofy at times. He had a heart of gold and never had a bad day. The word “stranger” was nowhere to be found in Duck’s vocabulary. If you were fortunate enough to know Duck, you can rest assured that you were loved. Duck’s giving nature is now a legacy that will live on through the lives of those touched by his gift of organ donation.

He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Gene Adams; grandmother, Sandra Duckworth; and uncle, Chris Adams.

He is survived by his parents, Tommy and Amanda Duckworth of Dahlonega; brother, Tristin Duckworth (fiancé, Camryn Lightell); grandparents, India Adams, Terry Duckworth, Karline Duckworth, Garry Duckworth, and Judy Duckworth; aunts, Dana Adams, and Misty Duckworth; and lifelong friends, Zac Goike, Luke Roberts, and Justin Morrison. Numerous friends and other relatives also survive. In addition to family and friends, Duck is survived by five precious souls that he never met, who are spread out around the southeast, all of whom received his gift of life through organ donation.

Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, August 2, 2021, at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Anderson-Underwood Funeral Home with Rev. Tony Holtzclaw officiating. Interment will follow in Siloam Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Monday from 12:00 PM until service hour.
