James “Jimmy” Bartlett

James “Jimmy” Bartlett, age 76, of Flowery Branch, GA passed away Monday, July 19, 2021.  He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Judy Gay Gravitt Bartlett, Flowery Branch, GA; children, Judith Rene Pennington, Flowery Branch, GA, William David (Lourdes) Bartlett, Winder, GA; Seven Grandchildren, One great-grandchild; brother, Wallace (Martha) Bartlett, Statham, GA; nieces, nephews and cousins. Mr. Bartlett was born July 19, 1944 in Jonesboro, GA.  He was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy having served in Vietnam.  He received his education from East Hall and South Hall High Schools.  Mr. Bartlett was a retired Maintenance Mechanic from Hormel Foods after 38 years of service.  He was of the Baptist faith.  He also enjoyed football with the Georgia Bulldogs and Atlanta Falcons, fishing and Nascar. 

A Memorial Service will be held at 3:30 p.m., on Saturday, July 31, 2021 in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home, Buford, GA.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Eagle Ranch, Chestnut Mountain, GA or to Wounded Warriors in memory of Jimmy Bartlett.
