Rosa Beatrice Samples

Mrs. Rosa Beatrice Samples, age 90 of Gainesville, passed away on Sunday, July 25, 2021 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a sudden illness.

Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.  Reverend Steve Dyer, Reverend Hartwell Taylor and Reverend Doug Forrester will officiate.  The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 27, 2021 from 4 – 8 pm at the funeral home.

Mrs. Samples was born September 3, 1930 in Gainesville, Georgia to the late Hughie Elliott and Annie Mae Smith Elliott.  She was retired from Gainesville Bank and Trust and was a member of Community Baptist Church.  Rosa was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, H. L. Samples.    

Mrs. Samples is survived by her children, Brenda & Johnny Mathis of Gainesville and Yvonne & Jeff Barron of Flowery Branch, her grandson & his wife, Brian & Ali Mathis of Lula, her great-grandchildren, Ava Mathis, Nina Mathis and Kayleigh Simpson, her sister, Sylvia Brown of Gainesville and special nephew, Gene Johnson.
