Patsy Gail Millwood Carpenter

 Mrs. Patsy Gail Millwood Carpenter, age 80 of Oakwood, passed away on Sunday, July 25, 2021 at her residence following an extended illness.

Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at 1:00 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.  Reverend Phil Carpenter will officiate.  The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 28, 2021 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, prior to the service, at the funeral home.    

Mrs. Carpenter was born September 7, 1940 in Gainesville, Georgia to the late Henry Cecil Millwood and Claudia Bonnell Ash Millwood.  She was retired owner and operator of Patsy’s Beauty Salon, as well as, McEver Cleaners & Aloha Tan. She was an Instructional Supervisor of Child Development at Lanier Technical Institute.  Patsy was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, to know her was to love her.  She was devoted to her husband, Jerry, standing by him during his two terms as Commissioner for Hall County.  Patsy was a member of Flat Creek Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Jerry Carpenter and her 2 brothers, Jimmie Millwood and Paul Millwood.     

Mrs. Carpenter is survived by her daughter & son-in-law, Tammy & Mike Green of Gainesville, her grandchildren, Jennifer & Jeremy Elrod of Gainesville, Jamie Green of Gainesville, Jay & Whitney Green of Buford and Jordan & Reilly Green of Dallas, Georgia, 6 great-grandchildren, Noah, Caroline, Eli, Gunner, Everley and Maddux, brother-in-law & sister-in-law, Reverend Phil & Patsy Carpenter of Gainesville, sisters-in-law, Tommie Nell Ingram of Gainesville and Joyce Millwood of Gainesville and like a brother & sister, Bill & Bobbie Davidson of Gainesville.
